Why join a workshop?
Do you need to get out of the house, meet like-minded people, learn something new, have fun, visit galleries, get your work exhibited?
You could join a workshop run by and for people with mental distress.
CoolTan Arts’ main workshops are for people with mental health related needs.
Do you have mental health issues?
You can drop by the gallery and see what’s on.
Here’s what workshop participants had to say: ‘It’s a good feeling – satisfying to set and achieve a goal. Satisfaction and the challenge of finishing one project and improving on the next.’
‘Helps to stay young and keep the mind working. It’s creative jogging! CoolTan is like a creative adventure playground.’ ‘Expressing some internal feelings and ideas. Communicating with other people through the creation of art.’ ‘Getting out of the flat to help with depression. Also meeting different people and learning new skills.’
