CoolTan Arts run The Big (and Little) Half!

On 4 March 2018, CoolTan’s volunteers Jonathan, Daniel and staff member Alison will be taking on The Big Half and The Little Half, London’s new half marathon.

The event’s organisers aim to celebrate London’s diverse demographics by inspiring entries from participants of all backgrounds and are working with many community groups in several London boroughs to foster participation and engagement.

Jonathan, whose family members have been affected by mental illness, enjoys volunteering with CoolTan Arts and participated in our walks volunteer group last year. Alex’s 35 mile run (…walk, crawl) for CoolTan Arts

Alex Langford will be taking part in the Northants 35 mile Ultramarathon on Sunday 2nd June in aid of CoolTan Arts.
Alex says,“CoolTan … offer people with mental health issues a range of creative workshops. They also offer self-advocacy classes, which teach people how to speak up about their situation, and ask their care team questions like ‘what drugs am I on?’, ‘why?’ and ‘do I have a choice?’ … these are topics I feel passionately about.
