BIOGRAPHY

I am now aged 67. In late 1992 I had the unexpected option of retiring prematurely from full time employment (Greenwich Council) and took it. The character and intensity of my work had been such that poetry wasn't even remotely on my horizons and I had certainly never had any poetry during my school days (at the Brixton School of Building – long long gone). But not long after Greenwich I began going along to a Brixton Poets group. Over the past twenty years or so I have taken extensive summer walking holidays in two Sicilian mountainous regional nature parks (Parco delle Madonie and Parco dei Nebrodi) and some of my poems have also been written then.
