On Tuesday 30th August a team of about ten volunteers from the HR department of a leading international art organisation, visited CoolTan Arts and gave their two part workshop on CV writing.
A number of CoolTan Arts participants had good opportunity to gain experience in CV writing from the highly trained and experienced persons.
The first part was discussing the need for the CV by the professional bodies and its importance and what is to be included in it. In this part how hopeful people could make mistakes even on small matters like writing their names, their contacts and other preliminary things that needed for the purpose of the office to which the CV is sent.
The two experts went through item by item of the CV format needed by the interviewing body. Then at the end of this workshop they presented two documents: one ideal CV and other which is full of mistakes or unnecessary information.
After this session the participants had One to One sessions with other members of the team in which the participants had opportunities to discuss their individual needs and cases.
Many people expressed their satisfaction that they would write their CVs better after this. The team of volunteers also was very happy and expressed their satisfaction in having helped a worthy cause.
Here the members of the staff and the volunteering team having refreshment of the food cooked in the CoolTan Arts kitchen:
CoolTan Arts would like to express their gratitude to the team of volunteers from the HR department of Sotheby’s for their extremely generous help in providing this CV workshop, and for all their hard work throughout the rest of the day.
