CoolTan Arts has taken the lease on 3,500 sq ft of new premises across the street from its existing building off the Walworth Road London SE171RL. Detailed plans are being drawn up by an architect and it is intended to move before spring. The Chief Executive and staff (8) are fully employed and have neither the time nor the experience to manage the fit-out of the new premises and the move.

A project manager is now sought to oversee the fit-out project, recommend new fixtures and equipment where appropriate and to manage the move to new premises. The position will report direct to the Chief Executive. Fee to be discussed.

Specific tasks will include:

• Establishment of budget and timetable
• Liaison with architects and builders on detailed design and construction issues
• Advice on selection of equipment
• Assist in design of office and workshop layouts
• Organize and plan removals
• Liaison with  services suppliers, landlord and professional advisers
• Assist in clearance of existing premises
• Ensure best quality and value for money
• Access to in kind support and equipment

Qualifications sought:

• Experience of managing previous office moves of small / medium organisation is essential
• Attention to detail
• Understanding of Health & Safety issues and requirements
• Knowledge of storage and communications systems
• Ability to communicate with a wide-range of people
• Leadership and motivation skills
• Awareness of disability issues
• Proven experience of ability to operate independently
• Willingness to “roll-up sleeves” and pitch in
• A sense of humour !

Timeframe

It is anticipated the role will commence in February 2012 / April 2012 and should be completed by April-May 2012.

Deadline 5th March, interviews on 9th and 12th March 2012.
